Its been about a week since coming back home. Feels weird to say home because I've had 3 different "homes" in past two years. It does feel different here though..a home refers to "the geographical area in which a person grew up of feels they belong" (Wikipedia). I've always felt that I belong here (or was in denial that I belonged to Japan or Canada) so in conclusion, by definition, 343 Via El Chico, Redondo Beach 90277 is and will continue to be my home. Of course that is until I develop a sense of belonging towards another place..
So home. I'll list some words that come to mind.
Family. Friends. Driving. Food. Beach. Pier. South.
I'll restrain from getting into details, just because I decided earlier to make this blog open to public for my family and close friends who I'd want to update during my trip. I don't know how many people will actually follow, but that alright. Its also something for me to look back to in the future.
Anyways, my backpacking trip around the world actually started in Canada. Which makes..Start:Canada/End:Japan. So hey, welcome to my blog "ATW.5" (Around the World...and a half)
I've listed up countries that I'll be in. I wasn't sure whether to include China and American cities because I'm only making connections there, but I thought they should be included to understand the map.
It'll be a long trip. Alone. Me and my backpack.I'll attempt to take on everything that is offered in countries that I visit (yes including eating insects and sleeping on the streets), but I'll be more than happy to take requests and challenges from readers (thats you). Suggestions and tips will be much appreciated as well. (btw, if you dare me, I'll probably do it).
Since my backpack is the only friend I'll have throughout this trip, I shall give it a name. ..it will have one by the next post.
Anyways. Next stop, Japan.
