Ex Mea Sententia

Location: Redondo Beach, home (sitting at dining table before dinner)

Ex Mea Sententia...

means "in my opinion" in Latin. These three words should automatically be attached at the beginning of every sentence I speak.
Myself included, too often do people assume that there is only a single answer to a question. Single solution to a problem. Single method to overcome. Single personality to be accepted by the society.
I actually like the term "gray zone". Not black, not white. Can be a light gray that looks like a white, or a dark gray that's basically black, but not completely.
In my opinion, issues and conflicts are best off when its left alone in this gray zone. We learned from history that war doesn't solve conflicts, but treaties and peace talks do. We need to learn how to negotiate and compromise, not being glued on to our beliefs. We need to break apart the issue and straighten out priorities and accept sacrifices, We need to "give" in order to "take", We need to learn how to "cut the pie" into smaller pieces.

So thats what I've been thinking lately, especially after being able to talk to people from various cultures and backgrounds.

Why am I writing this on my first entry?

....idk.
I feel this way whenever there is a debate between parties, countries, or people. Democrats & Republicans, for example. In my opinion, they're both wrong. But wait, that means if wrong=black and right=white, then I just labeled both parties as black. But it should be gray.. does this mean that I shouldn't have an opinion about anything? No..its just that our opinion shouldn't be too one-sided that we can't see the other "color (white or black)". Thats why we need a little bit of black or a pitch of white in our thinkings.

Why am I keep writing about this?

...idk. But its an interesting concept that I think is useful at all times.
