Oh dear. I'm behind. Which means that I'll be writing more about facts and what I saw rather than what I was going through my mind.
After leaving Cannakale at 1am, I arrived at Izmir the next morning around 8am. I'll say this every time I go on a Turkish bus: "It's legit". Black and yellow.
I was only in Izmir for a short while since I was making a connection there to get to Selcuk. This is surprising to many people who visit Turkey because Izmir is one of the most well-known cities in Turkey, as it follows Ankara (the capital) and Istanbul in terms of population. It's a huge commercial center, and definitely one of the most modern cities in the country.
...yeh, I'll pass. But it felt good walking around the otogar (bus station) in the morning. Why do I like bus/train stations and airports..I don't know.
Arriving at Izmir Otogar
Simits (Turkish bagel?) are sold everywhere in the morning. Together with cay, it's a popular breakfast.
Sunrise at one of the bus stops
Alright, well this will be a short entry just because I want to make Selcuk and Ephesus separate from this one.

waa cai! and the bagel!? you're making me miss turkey very much sir!
ReplyDeleteand its so nice to find out someone else likes airports and bus/train stations as much as i do! if you're anything like me, i like it because these are the only places where all different types of people from all over the place come together in a single spot. no where else really is there such great people watching possible.
