Location: At Costa Coffee waiting for my bus to Kosovo
Stop this bus
Feels like my trip is almost over. To be honest, my days after leaving Egypt has been passing by in speed of light. I'm sure it's due to the sudden shift between countries I've visited. Days in first 3 countries can be described with words like "survival", "risks", "isolation" and
"vulnerable". Whereas in Europe, its the opposite. Safe, leisure, and unfortunately, the yet to be cured "just-another-tourist" syndrome. On the bright side, I'm learning and feeling lots of history in this part of the world. I do wish I knew more beforehand so I could absorb more information when I see it.
Because everyday is (relatively) safe in Europe and I face (relatively) less issues getting around, everyday seems..less in value. In India, I gave myself a pat on the back for getting through each day. So I want to slow down, and make more out of each day. Thus "stop this bus" before Kosovo comes and Kosovo goes. Feels like each place I visit is just another bus/train stop. But I must move on at the same time.
Motivation
I just found out that my brotha from anotha oka-san aka Sadashi is able to join me at my last stop, Peru. I just had to get this out because it gave me the motivation to keep moving forward. I'm excited for Kosovo. For Turkey. For Cyprus. For Peru and Machu Picchu. For Torrance. For Japan. Bring it.
